Located near the Wyoming-Idaho border, this 5-acre property features a new residence, guest house, habitat pond, and a network of trails weaving through native grasses. The site is defined by a primary view of the Grand Teton and secondary views of surrounding named peaks, all framed beautifully by aspen clusters and low weathered steel walls at the front entry. A roof deck is thoughtfully oriented to the east, offering expansive vistas, while gathering spaces around the pond edge and curated views from within the home create intimate connections to the landscape. Mowed trails pay homage to the site’s agricultural past, resembling well-worn two-track roads typical of nearby ranch lands. The entry drive and autocourt culminate in a native wildflower meadow that enhances the sense of arrival while adding seasonal color, texture, and ecological value.

A boardwalk spanning the east and west sides of the house connects through a glass-enclosed connector, offering visitors a stunning visual axis—from the Big Hole Mountains to the west, through the building, and out to the pond on the east side. Built elements are oriented either parallel or perpendicular to this line, creating a clear organizational framework. In contrast, natural features like mowed paths, pond edges, and vegetation transitions adopt more organic, fluid forms. The landscape invites a rich experience of discovery, observation, and interaction—shifting with the seasons and evolving over time to maintain a dynamic relationship between people and place.
